I just got back from the memorial service in Arizona and I am still really sad. All of us who knew Dave (and I did for 47 years) then and since really loved that guy. It couldn’t have been clearer at the gathering. Dave had a “mischievious sense of humor” too, as was often noted there, and boy was that true. So he was a super nice guy, and he was a gas too. Best combo. I’m glad you did know him, even for a short while in 1983-1984. I’m glad I knew him too. You’re sure right about what he meant to me, and what effect he had on my life. And on others….
