I certainly feel honored by the company I’m keeping, given the other authors whose work you’ve highlighted. But moreover, I’m moved by the take-away you called out in regard to LANDFALL: “inequality has consequences we frequently forget to notice.” Were I to summarize my motives for writing this book, I couldn’t have said it better than you did.

I’ll be in NYC next week, appearing with Pulitzer Prize winner and NYT correspondent Sheri Fink at BookCourt in Brooklyn at 7pm on Saturday Sept 12.
