Tell the Bartender Episode 52: BONUS! The Immortal Serial

In this Episode:

The Serial parody you’ve all been waiting for! Every year, The Bartender’s friends celebrate the Scottish tradition of Burns Night, which honors poet Robert Burns. There is haggis, scotch, tartan, scotch, poems, scotch and toasts. This year Forest Ray was given the task to tell the “Immortal Memory” which revolves around a very naughty poem by Burns. So he wrote a spoof of the popular and awesome NPR podcast Serial. Here it is! Conceived by Forest Ray and Jordan Kraft, written by Forest Ray, with the vocal stylings of Forest, Jordan, Sharda Sekaran, Suparna Mukherjee, Alex Kveton and yours truly, Katharine, doing her best impersonation of the host of Serial Sarah Koenig (who Katharine just found out is her cousin).

PLUS listener shout out and news about the SECOND AMAZING GUEST for the next Tell The Bartender LIVE! Also, a new episode of the advice show The Bartender co-hosts, The Struggle Bus, is up. Like the show? Tip The Bartender! Or give it 5 stars!

In this episode: The Zin is in and the shoes are off (literally). Sally talks about her first ever Christmas and Kate’s eventful (not in a good way) New Year’s Eve. Next up, Kate and Sally respond to a young single parent who wants to explore a new career but is wondering if it’s too late (spoiler alert: it’s not) and whether it’s good parenting to do so (spoiler alert: it is, and we explain why). Finally we respond to an email from a listener in Utah who wants to know what the hell is up with her feelings of jealousy and control in her otherwise open, trusting, and communicative relationship.
