It’s been a while since we’ve featured Bargemusic, the floating classical locale just south of Fulton Ferry Landing at the entrance to Brooklyn Bridge Park. This weekend brings characteristic variety to the barge, with works for violin and piano by Brahms, Beethoven, Schubert and Sarasate.
On Wednesday June 6, string arrangements of Bach, Rachmaninoff and De Falla by Steve Cohen are featured, as well as the premieres of Cohen’s “Song for Strings” and Dina Pruzhansky’s “Song of Songs.”
Performances are at 8 p.m. Saturday & Wednesday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission: Saturday & Sunday: $35, $30 for 65+, $15 for students; and Wednesday: $40, $35 for 65+, $20 for students. More info: 718-624-2083 or bargemusic.org.
